Who designs Module furniture/products?

Our modular furniture system is designed in-house in the UK. All our furniture designs are also designed in-house in the UK

How much customisation is possible?

There are an endless number of customisation options to create your unique furniture. Number of modular sets or elements, elements size or colour are the obvious choices when it comes to customising, but you can also add doors, drawers, shelves, ends, legs and even features like cable management, too.

Further we will be adding new colours and finishes as well as elements on a regular basis, so yes, we believe there are endless possibilities! We are currently working on our product configurator which will allow online customisation and even greater choices!

Can I mix and match colours?

Yes, that is a great idea! that is what Module is all about!

Will you release any new products soon?

Absolutely! Be sure to sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know about our latest products and updates, please scroll to the bottom of our home page and enter your email to join our mailing list.

How can I check product availability?

Our products are off-the shelf products, so products should be received within a week or two. However due to the number of orders we receive and supplier production there may be a waiting period for delivery of items.

Do note delivery will be based on date of order placed and furniture pieces may not necessarily arrive at the same time if not ordered at the same time, even a day apart.

Can you make a limited design just for me?

We will be offering design consultancy and customisation in the future but for commercial orders only.

Can I just order individual pieces?

Absolutely yes you can, our furniture is modular! Go right ahead!

How easy is it to assemble?

We designed our products to be assembled as simply as possible, simply insert the right connector type (S,D,L,T,X) in the tile and then insert a lock in the lock hole with a simple push or a light hammer tap, the lock will then click into the inserted connector. This will hold the connector in place with the tile. Then repeat the process keeping in mind to build one level up at a time, bottom to top, just like a house. So, start with assembling the bottom tiles (ground level) with the correct connectors for the side walls to join into. Then build the side walls (with the correct connectors attached for the next level to join). Once the side walls are assembled then place
these side walls to the ground tiles. Then assemble the top (roof) of this level with the correct connectors and once done add to side walls (your first level is built!).

Repeat the same process for the next level and so on! If, however your furniture is wide it may be more convenient to build levels up but also sectionally e.g. so you build the left section then the middle section and then the right section. Then slide and add the sections together from one side i.e., the left to the middle section then the right to the middle section. Sounds confusing? dont worry, follow the instructions, or connect with our chat line or call ‘Airtasker’ (see home page for link) a website that has reputable and economical furniture assemblers/handymen.

How easy is it to disassemble or repair?

Isn’t that a great question and yes you can dissemble Module! its built that way, so it allows flat packing and easy transportation of your furniture piece! Simply screw in the screw tool (given at the time of purchase) in the lock (just a few turns really!) and pull out! Simply repeat the process and you have started disassembly. However, as you built your furniture piece upwards i.e. level up, to disassemble, we suggest starting from the top going downwards i.e level down, Until all have been disassembled.

Then we would suggest keeping the tiles in that order for assembly again! And if you lose any locks call us for free replacements! Follow this procedure to replace any tile and then rebuild again. Your furniture will look like anew.

Can I see an assembly manual?

Yes, a simple video animation will also be available, and you get an instruction manual which hopefully should be simple to follow, however we are here if you need any assistance, just live chat!

How to measure spaces for the right furniture fit.

Simple! When you measure the space, you plan to use, you will need to consider any baseboards / skirting boards, the location of any light switches, fixtures, or electrical sockets, as well as the location of any other architectural or decorative details nearby. You will want to make sure you have plenty of space so that your furniture piece (and the opening doors or drawers) do not bang, obstruct, or cause any clearance issues.

What are the sizes/dimensions of your parts?

We think it is Simple! our tiles are of a certain size so connecting multiple tiles means you just need to multiply that many times or simply add individual sections to get overall dimensions. So, for a single tile the dimensions are 350x350mm, double tiles are 700x350mm and connectors are 17x17mm! So just add or multiply the number of elements to get the overall dimensions. However, our Module collections have the dimensions listed for you on the product page.

How much weight can a shelf/top tile hold?

As each furniture design is different, it depends, but the more side walls (tiles) are connected underneath the more weight it can hold, so having three sidewalls (tiles) underneath the top tile will hold more weight than two sidewalls (tiles) underneath but three sidewalls will hold less than four sidewalls (tiles) underneath. We suggest you use two sidewalls underneath at the very top of a furniture piece where items are not usually placed.

However, you can always purchase our support pegs which can be attached with the locks with a simple screw (included). This support peg needs to be placed with the middle lock on the top tile and the middle lock on the adjacent tile underneath. This will form a bridge that will allow weight to be transferred to the side walls allowing for more weight bearing capacity for the top tile. Please see drawings given with the support peg.

Are all Module furniture pieces floor standing?

Yes, our furniture is designed to be floor-standing only. We recommend attaching your furniture piece to the wall for extra stability and to prevent any tipping, especially for furniture pieces over 1400mm approx 55 inches in height.

Do your sideboards have any feet on the bottom?

Yes, legs can be attached to vertical inserted connectors, and they will come with adjustable feet to allow perfect leveling of your furniture piece. the legs will give a 3–4-inch lift to the furniture piece. Plus they are also available in different colours. Please See product info on product page.

Can I add the cable management feature to any tile?

Our cable management ports are currently only available for media units.

What are the Ral colour codes?

Ral colour codes are an industry standard so that colours can be consistently produced. Please see a list of the Ral colour codes for all our products, so you can be certain of the exact shades. Please also note new colour RAL codes will be added when launched. You can also order sample sets so you can see and feel the finishes for yourself.
